El ruso \u00a0lleg\u00f3 7\u00b0 en la etapa de hoy y se vio beneficiado por un retraso en el final de su m\u00e1ximo adversario, el holand\u00e9s Gerard De Rooy, quien ven\u00eda liderando la etapa y se encontr\u00f3 \u00a0con la ruta bloqueada por un vuelco. De esta forma el holand\u00e9s result\u00f3 segundo en el d\u00eda y perdi\u00f3 la carrera por 3m11s.
