El escenario elegido fue el tradicional trazado del Parque Independencia y el triunf\u00f3 qued\u00f3 en poder del italiano Luigi Villoresi con Ferrari 166 FL, en una prueba que finaliz\u00f3 con 50 de las 60 vueltas pactadas debido al intenso calor. Segundo finaliz\u00f3 Benedicto Campos y tercero arrib\u00f3 el italiano Nino Farina. La categor\u00eda Sport complet\u00f3 la programaci\u00f3n y venci\u00f3 Roberto Mieres (Alfa Romeo).<\/p>\n<p>Seis a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s, el 4\u00ba Gran Premio de Argentina de F\u00f3rmula 1 se pact\u00f3 en el aut\u00f3dromo porte\u00f1o sobre tres largas horas de duraci\u00f3n. S\u00f3lo se hab\u00edan disputado 25 giros cuando Juan Manuel Fangio, por desperfectos en su Ferrari, tom\u00f3 el coche de su compa\u00f1ero Luigi Musso. Hab\u00eda quedado a un minuto del puntero, el tambi\u00e9n argentino Carlos Menditeguy. Al cabo de 97 vueltas, y gracias a una espectacular remontada, Fangio fue el vencedor, escoltado por el franc\u00e9s Jean Behra (Maserati). Menditeguy abandon\u00f3. Tuvo problemas con la caja de velocidades.<\/p>\n<p>El 22 de enero de 1959 falleci\u00f3 el ingl\u00e9s Mike Hawthorn. Hac\u00eda pocas semanas que se hab\u00eda retirado del automovilismo, tras obtener el t\u00edtulo de F\u00f3rmula 1 de 1958 al volante de una Ferrari. Aquella ma\u00f1ana conduc\u00eda su Jaguar por una ruta del sur de Londres, salud\u00f3 a su amigo John Coombes y momentos despu\u00e9s choc\u00f3 contra un cami\u00f3n y embisti\u00f3 un \u00e1rbol.<\/p>\n<p>El Turismo Carretera inici\u00f3 la temporada 1961 en C\u00f3rdoba, en un trazado de 103 kil\u00f3metros y con la organizaci\u00f3n del Club Atl\u00e9tico Carlos Paz. La competencia, disputada hace 52 a\u00f1os, depar\u00f3 el primer triunfo de Oscar Cabal\u00e9n, quien hab\u00eda dejado Chevrolet y por primera vez conduc\u00eda una cup\u00e9 Ford V8.<\/p>\n<p>Un poco m\u00e1s cerca en el tiempo, en 1972, un d\u00eda como hoy el debutante Carlos Reutemann sorprendi\u00f3 a todos y marc\u00f3 la pole position para el Gran Premio de Argentina de F\u00f3rmula 1. Al d\u00eda siguiente venci\u00f3 el escoc\u00e9s Jackie Stewart (Tyrrell Cosworth), en tanto que el santafesino, con Brabham, finaliz\u00f3 en el s\u00e9ptimo lugar.<\/p>\n<p>Y para la temporada 1997 el TC 2000 hab\u00eda adoptado importantes cambios t\u00e9cnicos, como la utilizaci\u00f3n de motores de 16 v\u00e1lvulas.
